András Ujhegyi

András Ujhegyi is the CEO of the University of Szeged’s technology transfer company, and currently also serves as Professional Lead of the university’s Directorate for IT Development. He has been leading SZTE TTC Zrt. for three years. In this short period, the company has become a key player in the Hungarian university technology transfer market, acquiring ownership stakes in several university companies and spin-offs, and managing nearly HUF 500 million in Proof of Concept funding to help prepare innovations originating at the University of Szeged for the market.

The team he leads works with global strategic partners, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise. As a result of this cooperation, a 1.75 petaflops supercomputer and an HPE Aruba digital campus innovation lab have been established in Szeged, significantly strengthening the region’s R&D and innovation capacity. He studied international relations, economics and marketing, complemented by executive education and economic diplomacy training programs. Thanks to his command of English, German and Russian, he actively participates in international professional networks and collaborations.
