Márton Hovány

"Thirty-five years ago, when we opened our first car dealership, I was certain of one thing: I could only be successful if I provided the very best for our customers.” Márton Hovány became an entrepreneur at the age of 20. He began his career as a stonemason and architectural sculptor, becoming one of the youngest masters in the country, but he had always wanted to work with cars. In 1991, he opened his first dealership in Kecskemét. It was a long journey to building what is now perhaps Hungary’s largest Hungarian-owned automotive retail group, the Hovány Group. His company, whose success has been driven by a commitment to 100% customer satisfaction, has received numerous national and international awards over the years. In 2018, he opened the world’s first new-generation Mercedes-Benz automotive complex in Budaörs, which not only applies state-of-the-art technological solutions, but also serves as a benchmark for the car dealerships of the future. In two consecutive years, 2024 and 2025, it was awarded the title of Dealership of the Year. Today, the Hovány Group is present in five cities across Hungary and represents major brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Volvo, Omoda, Jaecoo, Peugeot, Citroën and Fiat.

Márton Hovány’s work is defined by a commitment to continuous development. In this spirit, in 2024, together with Petrányi Autó, he founded Genius Automotive Europe, which entered the Hungarian market as the importer and distributor of the Omoda and Jaecoo car brands. In 2025, they also received distribution rights in Bulgaria and Romania, where, following the successful Hungarian launch, they continue their expansion.
