His professional work has focused for more than a decade, among other areas, on trademarks, the protection of companies’ intellectual assets, and legal issues related to new technologies. His law firm has gained experience in several thousand Hungarian and European Union trademark matters. He developed the legal concept of the “face trademark” and was the first person in Hungary to register his own portrait as a trademark.
The preliminary ruling procedure initiated in the case is currently pending before the Court of Justice of the European Union. The decision may become a reference point across all 27 Member States of the European Union in assessing trademark protection for photorealistic portraits.
