Dr. Zoltán Gál is a certified electrical engineer, Professor at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Debrecen, and Head of the Department of Information Systems and Networks.
He obtained his PhD and habilitation in computer science from the University of Debrecen. His research focuses on distributed processing and communication systems, as well as the Internet of Things. From 2000, he served for twenty years as the university’s IT Director. He has been a Cisco Certified Network Professional instructor since 1999 and has led the university’s Supercomputer Center since 2015.
A member of IEEE since 1996, he has authored more than 160 scientific conference and journal publications.
