Dan Manning

Dan Manning is a retired United States Air Force Colonel. He flew the A-10 in combat, served as a Defense Attaché, and wrote speeches at the Pentagon. As a Target Engagement Authority in the campaign against ISIS, he made 768 strike decisions — each one a test of the difference between what he knew and what he only believed. That experience is the foundation of this talk. Today, Dan teaches leaders how to make better decisions with AI. His workshop, “AI for Decision Makers,” has been delivered to senior government, military, and corporate audiences, and he teaches US government organizations how to create innovation inside their own walls. He writes about knowledge, technology, and belief on his Substack, Ministry of Story and Belief, and is the author of two books: Thinking Better: Critical Thinking & Creativity Through Trusting Collaboration and The Story-Stage Founder’s Guide to Startup Pitching. As a pitch coach and storytelling strategist, he has trained hundreds of startup founders. He lives in Alabama, USA.
