Dr. Péter Ekler is an Associate Professor at the Department of Automation and Applied Informatics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where he leads the Applied AI research group.
As Co-Founder and CTO, he helped grow AutSoft, a software development company, into a 150-person organization. Following AutSoft’s merger with the UK-based Zenitech, he now supports the industrial adoption of AI-based solutions as Zenitech’s Emerging Technology Strategist.
His research focuses on applied artificial intelligence, including large language models, agentic AI, quality assurance of AI-generated code, business intelligence and mobile software development.
He has authored more than 140 publications. As an educator, he prepares hundreds of engineering students each year for the ways AI is transforming software development, and has supervised several successful PhD candidates.
