Dr. Imre Paniti

Imre Paniti earned his MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering and PhD degree from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in 2007 and 2015, respectively. He began his professional career in 2006 at the Computer and Automation Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA SZTAKI), within the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Research Laboratory. Between 2018 and 2023, he worked as a researcher in the Cyber-Physical Systems and Industry 4.0 Manufacturing Technologies Research Group at Széchenyi István University. He currently serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Engineering and Business Intelligence Research Laboratory of HUN-REN SZTAKI. He is a specialist in computer-based and industrial robot programming and has been a PhD supervisor at the Pattantyús-Ábrahám Géza Doctoral School of Mechanical Sciences at BME since 2017. Since 2021, he has been a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Secondary School Alumni Program, and since 2023, a member of the HUN-REN SZTAKI Intellectual Property Committee. Since 2014, he has served as the National Coordinator of the European Robotics Week (euRobotics), and from 2026 he has been a member of the Hungarian Robotics Association. His main research area focuses on safe and efficient human–robot collaboration, with particular emphasis on the development of advanced robotic systems that enable effective cooperation between humans and machines.
