Mira Ganova, PhD is a digital health expert, healthcare innovation leader and CEO of the Digital Health and Innovation Cluster Bulgaria - a national ecosystem organization working at the intersection of healthcare, technology, policy and entrepreneurship. She holds a PhD in Management and Business Communications, as well as Master’s degrees in Public Relations and Public Health Management. With more than 18 years of experience in healthcare management, public affairs, strategic communications and innovation development, Mira has been actively involved in shaping the digital health agenda in Bulgaria and supporting cross-sector collaboration between healthcare institutions, medical professionals, technology companies, patient organizations, academia, and public authorities. Her work focuses on healthcare digitalization, prevention, early detection, remote patient monitoring, data-driven healthcare and AI, and the development of sustainable integrated care models. She leads and contributes to national and European initiatives that aim to accelerate the adoption of digital health solutions, strengthen innovation capacity and create practical models for better, more accessible and more efficient healthcare. Mira is also actively engaged in policy dialogue and advocacy related to digital transformation in healthcare, including telemedicine, digital diagnostics, patient pathways, data use and the role of innovation in improving health outcomes. Through DHI Cluster Bulgaria, she supports pilot projects, public-private partnerships, educational initiatives and ecosystem-building activities that connect innovation with real clinical and societal needs. In her work, Mira emphasizes that digital health is not only about technology, but about redesigning care around people, supporting patients, empowering healthcare professionals, improving decision-making and reducing systemic pressure on medical teams through better organization, data, prevention, and continuous care.
