Dr. Péter Galambos

Péter Galambos received his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 and his Ph.D. in 2013 from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). Throughout his career, his research has focused on the integration of digital twin technologies and robotic systems. Between 2007 and 2008, he worked at TOSHIBA's Research and Development Center, where he developed simulation and digital twin-based design tools for advanced mechanical and control solutions for household robots. He subsequently joined the Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as a research scientist. From 2010 to 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Young Researcher Scholarship, and between 2011 and 2015 he led the development of the VirCA (Virtual Collaboration Arena), a virtual reality-based experimental environment for robotics research and collaboration. In 2013, he joined Óbuda University, where he has since been actively involved in robotics education, research, and the development of innovative robotic applications. He is currently a Professor, Director of the Antal Bejczy Center for Intelligent Robotics, and, since July 2024, Vice Rector for Innovation at Óbuda University. His research focuses on model-based control, machine intelligence, and digital twin-enabled robot learning systems. He is the author or co-author of more than 180 scientific publications, which have received over 2,500 citations.
