Dr. Noémi Ligeti-Nagy is a language technologist and Head of the Language Technology Research Group at the ELTE Research Centre for Linguistics. Her research focuses on Hungarian language technology, the evaluation of neural language models, corpus development, and the creation of benchmark datasets tailored to the Hungarian language. She is particularly interested in developing reliable methods for assessing the performance of large language models in Hungarian and in making these technologies more scientifically grounded, transparent, and effective for use in Hungarian-language contexts. Alongside her research, Dr. Ligeti-Nagy is actively involved in higher education and science communication, with a strong emphasis on presenting language technology and artificial intelligence in a way that is both scientifically rigorous and accessible to a broader audience.
